Walking through the art-deco lobby into The George Ballroom is like stepping back in time. Originally opened in the 1860’s, our venue has been lovingly restored to its original period charm. It features wooden floorboards, signature heritage walls, high ceilings with intricate detailing and designer lighting.
This is the ideal location for weddings, birthday parties, corporate functions, product launches and commercial filming and photography.
Alto Event Space

COCKTAIL PARTY CAPACITY: 400 Guests

This warehouse style venue is suitable for a wide range of events including private celebrations, romantic weddings and prestige corporate functions. It features high ceilings, polished concrete floors, a striking brass bar and an outdoor terrace with breathtaking city views.
Alto Event Space is located in the heart of Melbourne CBD on the top floor of the GPO Building and can host up to 400 Guests for cocktail style events and up to 150 guests for sit down dining experiences.
